Since its founding in 1930, our company has been operating as a manufacturer specializing in heat exchangers. In 2011, we made a new start by changing the company name to AFREX Co., Ltd., based on the initials of the following terms: air-conditioning, freezing, refrigerating and heat exchanger. This name change triggered a break from our dependent, passive corporate culture. In accordance with our motto “Changing myself changes the workplace,” we have driven ourselves forward with a fresh mind and fullness of energy, pursuing a spirit of independence and self-reliance.
Believing that the development of human resources is indispensable for the production of good products, AFREX works toward improving individual employees’ skill levels by holding stratified training programs. Growth of the employees through self-motivated learning leads to the very growth of the company. At present, the heat exchanger business is a pillar of our business. Meanwhile, we also put our energies into rolling out applied products (units) that use heat exchangers. By improving the technology associated with heat exchangers and cooling systems, we aspire to contribute to clients and society in terms of protection of the environment. In addition to production bases in Japan, we have four associated companies in China and one in Thailand as overseas production bases. While independent management is ensured in the local companies, they are operated in an integrated manner as the headquarters promotes diversification of human resources and interacts directly with the local staff. To embark on the next stage and keep moving forward after more than a decade since the company name was changed, we would like to rededicate ourselves to the management philosophy stated below.
